Winter weddings

Today is officially the first day of Winter. I know here in Ohio, it doesn't feel a bit like Winter; it's 63 and sunny. I'm not a huge fan of snow, but I love snow on my birthday (December 16th), Christmas Eve and Christmas. That's just wishful thinking for this year, I'm sure.. Speaking of Winter, what an incredible time of the year to get married! So many color options to chose from. Some prefer bright traditional holiday colors, while others prefer toned down, light colors.

I am crazy about the color combination shown above. Bright white, off-white (ivory), and silver. This makes for a truly magical setting. Whether or not there is snow on the ground, using these colors together could create your own Winter Wonderland!
For a Winter Wedding dress, opt for something elegant and sparkly, and not so revealing. For a cover-up or Shaw, use a mink or fur piece with unique brooch (also shown above), or a dressy sweater in the exact color as your wedding dress. Below is a elegant, bright white wedding dress with exquisite sparkling detail over the shoulder. This would be a breath-taking gown for your Winter dream wedding.

When it comes to jewelry, flashy is not attractive. And you're already the "star" of the show, being the bride, all eyes are on you! WOW your guests with elegance. Go for something like these oval and pear shaped diamond studded drops. Remember, less is best. No necklace is needed when you have a crystal or diamond detail from belly button up. Choose a piece to borrow from you Grandmother or Mother, like a beautiful diamond bracelet. Your wedding and engagement ring, of course! And leave it at that!

For your hairstyle, go with a clean, classic up-do.
