Gingerbread house

This year, we went the little nontraditional route in gingerbread making; we bought a gingerbread house kit from Target. I figured it would make things much simpler and less expensive than buying all of the supplies needed.

I just couldn't seem to get the walls to stay standing, and one piece ended up falling and breaking. This made my son upset, so I told him maybe daddy would be better at making it! So, daddy and Christian sat down at the table, and didn't move for two hours.. They were soo excited about their finished product, and I was pretty impressed! Christian told me they made that house for ME with love :) my boy!

My husband did say, he didn't like the gingerbread kit idea; it takes the creativity away from making your own special house.. So, next year we will opt for our usual graham crackers, icing and goodies!
