How early is too early?

Yesterday my husband had the day off for Veteran's Day, so we decided to take advantage and do a little early Christmas shopping while our little guy was at school! We weren't alone.. Stores were packed! We were shocked at some of the great deals we got at stores like Kohl's and Target. We're card members to both stores and saved much more than we spent! I figured starting early would be a good idea so we could make sure we got the toys we wanted, but we were surprised to find three toys which we wanted most were gone.

How early do you begin Christmas shopping? Do you wait until last minute?....

I've seen numerous ads this year for stores such as Best Buy and Walmart, beginning their Black Friday sales starting the evening of Thanksgiving starting at 10 p.m. Will you be there? Honestly, I always thought  the people that got out at that time to Christmas shopping, were ridiculous, but this year I'm thinking I'm going to be one of those people... Some of the stores are letting you preview their Black Friday specials and they are really good deals. If I wait til' later, I'm sure they will be gone.. I can't stand waiting in long lines of people but will it be worth the savings?! What do you think?
