Master Bathroom Update

It's a new year, which means new opportunity, and I'm determined to make the most of it! We have started SO many projects around our house, that we really have never finished a room in its entirety. That's so embarrassing for me to say, but I know I'm not the only one that does this! My mind is running a thousand miles a minute, and everything we start is with good intention! With that being said, 2015 is going to be the year of completion! We have already began working on projects that were already started, and not starting a new one until the others are done. Sounds goofy, but it's working for us now ;)

I was dying for our bathroom cabinets to be white, so I hopped to it one day and got started. Our builder grade cabinets were a light maple color with a smooth finish. I used American Paint Company in Navajo White. I had never used this paint before, but heard wonderful things about it! My favorite part may be, that you don't have to prime or sand when using this product, you simply apply a few coats. So, that's just what I did! I waited at least an hour between each coat and I did three total. I let dry completely over night before applying the top coat. The top coat is a water-resistant base and dries nearly invisible!

I'm very happy with the turn out and can't wait to finish the rest of the cabinets in the remaining bathrooms too! I apologize for the quality of my pictures, our bathroom gets horrible lighting! I can't wait to finish the bathroom as a whole and share the transformation with you! Coming soon!

  2. You did a great job in painting those cabinets, Fotini! Their white color made the whole bathroom look more modern. It's amazing how much a room can transform, just by applying a new coat of paint. Anyway, I hope you get to do more fun projects like that. Make sure to keep us posted. All the best to you! :)
