Ruffle Burlap Banner

If you've been following me for awhile, you know two things... I love banners and I love burlap! I meshed those two things together and create a beautiful ruffle burlap banner! The inspiration comes from a few weeks ago being at one of my girlfriends house and seeing her new banner she had just bought at Hobby Lobby. It looked exactly like this, but came with a $15 price tag, which isn't bad, but I knew I could make it for less!

Wouldn't you know I took the lousiest pictures of the beginning stages of this banner, so I'm going to do my very best to explain it! I used jute for the base. I tied one end to an unfolded paperclip, you could also use a crafting needle if you have one, I didn't, so I improvised. Grab your burlap ribbon, you can find here, I had a bunch laying around so that's what I used. Feed your jute needle through the middle of the burlap ribbon and leave about an inch and half - two inches in between and then repeat. Do that until you reach the desired length. I used a good bit of burlap ribbon because I wanted a more tight look. You can fluff and perfect it once you are finished!

I love the way it looks! What do you think?
