Recipe - - Green Bean Fries, yum!

The other evening for dinner my son requested sloppy joes ( which is also my hub's favorite!) and instead of the traditional french fries I usually serve, I was up to trying green bean fries! A much healthier alternative than regular fries, and super yummy! Here's what you're going to need:
  • Extra fine green beans (frozen)
  • 1/2 Cup of flour
  • 1 Cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • Cooking spray and cookie sheet
I chose to use frozen green beans because it was less time consuming. I only used about 1/3 of the bag, rinsed with luke-warm water in a colander, let dry. Next, prepare each of your ingredients in individual bowls (flour, crumbs and eggs). Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Begin by dipping a small handful of green beans into the flour, next eggs, lastly bread crumbs. Brush off any clumpy or extra bread crumbs and place on pre- greased cookie sheet. Repeat for the remaining green beans. Place prepared green beans in oven for 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness, and crispiness preferred. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 3 minutes before serving. Serve with garlic dips, hummus, or ranch.

My son and husband loved these! I will definitely be making these again. I served my green bean fries with ranch dressing! Yumm :)
