Off to the bride show...

So, since I'm contemplating entering the wedding world as a "Wedding/Event Planner", when I saw the opportunity to enter for tickets to The Columbus Bride Show I signed up! Found out on my birthday, December 16th, that I was one of the winners for two complimentary tickets for the show! I was excited, to say the least; and I knew exactly who I wanted my "date" to be :) None other than my fabulous friend, Rose DeVore!

My husband was watching the kids, Rose picked me up, and we were headed off to a fun- filled afternoon of everything WEDDING! We got to the show and were greeted by row after row of hundreds of vendors. The first thing we saw, was a custom cake company, that had a ruffle cake on display. I did a post a few weeks back on ruffle cakes, and they are just as stunning in person as they photograph to be! Next, we stumbled upon a photo booth with tons of props, just waiting for us! We had so much fun picking a few props and taking a few pics :) This would be such a great idea to have at your wedding! So unique and fun...The Columbus Photobooth Company is one of many options to choose from!

Once we were giddy from the photo booth, we headed for the runway stage.. The show was to begin at 2 o'clock and we had the chance to get great seats for the show! We opted for a side seat, with view of everything, including sitting directly next to host, Karina Nova from 10TV. Four of the featured companies were, Wendy's Bridal, Unusual Junction, David's Bridal and Joan's Bridal Couture (whom did my wedding!!) We saw some incredible gowns that were just breathtaking. One of my favorite actually being a light blush colored, rosette gown with black chiffon bow. Not exactly the color choice I would have chosen, but the dress was impeccable! We ended our trip by checking out a few more vendors.. We came across a catering company, Catering by Scott, that had a pretty version of a rosette cake. Although I didn't like the flower choice, the cake itself was beautiful!

The weather couldn't have been more perfect this time of year, for us to go today! We had a great time, saw some interesting things and gave me a little idea of what I'm up against!

This is a terrible picture of the blush rosette dress, but you can see some of the detailed work on the skirt!
