Christmas morning shirts!

Some may say it's cheesy, but I think it's what makes family traditions special.. This year, and every year from here on, I will be making matching shirts for all of us to wear! It will be darling on Christmas morning for us to all be wearing the same shirt; pictures will be so memorable! I've already made them for this year, and it was extremely simple! I was looking into buying some off Etsy.com but I couldn't find any that were under $20 a piece. I also looked at Land's End, Crazy 8 and Gymboree offer matching adult and children pajama's but they were super pricey. I decided to check out Jo Ann's just to see what they had, and everything ended up being 50% off that day, so I went ahead and bought the iron-on transfers. I shopped around for the best white, long sleeve shirts, and just opted for Hanes. For the kids, I did each of their first names and a cute ornament. For my husband and I, I just put 'Mom' and ' Dad'. It was quick and easy to do and ended up getting them all made, including shirts and transfers, for just about $30!! I'm really pleased with how they turned out, especially since this is the first time I've done it, but I have some great ideas in mind for next year!

Doing simple little things like these makes children look forward to more than just gifts for the holidays. It's the excitement of the surprise that makes it soo special! Take an hour of your time and create something for your family and that you can all enjoy!
