From the beginning...

First off, thanks for coming and checking out my Glamorous, Affordable Wedding Blog! Here I will be sharing my budget- friendly ways I have been using for my wedding. I have expensive taste and an eye for design, but prefer the low price tag! Check back frequently for updates!

My name is Fotini, which is Greek for " Bright Light". I am 21 years young and recently engaged to my soul mate. I am a mother to an amazing little boy, Christian Keaton, who is three years young. My fiance proposed to me in March of 2009. Here's how it all started...

Reuben and I met when we were both still in high school. We were introduced through my best friend, Amanda. The thing I was most attracted to, immediately, about Reuben, was his passion for music. He had a studio in his basement, played the drums, guitar and sang. He was amazing and so mesmerizing! Both of us were shy so it took a couple times of seeing each other for him to ask me on a date. After that first date, we were inseparable! We dated for more than a year and a half before we became pregnant with our first child! We were estatic to add a member to our family. Our son, Christian, was born in June of 2006. Since then, we have bought our first home, started our own business and conquered many obstacles! Reuben and I have now been together for almost six years, and have enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. Don't get me wrong, we have certainly had some very hard times, but it has only made us stronger. In October of 2008, Reuben decided to dedicate his time and effort to a Christian Ministry for drug and alcohol abusers. He put all he had in this program and let it change him for the best! Reuben returned to our family in March of 2009. Within just a couple of him being home, Reuben and I had just put our little son to bed; we were sitting on the couch talking about the future. This is when he asked me to marry him! Of course I said "YES", and even though that's what he wanted to hear, I think he was more surprised than I was! We didn't set a date for our wedding until September 2009. We set our wedding date for October 16, 2010. I can't wait!! I have began preparing for everything already! I like to be prepared and organized. I hope you all enjoy all of the excitement and time I have put into this process. Opinions are appreciated, but please be nice : )
